ohyeah it's raining!

Haha I thought I'd be gone for three weeks or so..but look, my last post was just ten days ago! And it honestly seemed like forever. But those ten days were whole days WITHOUT any computer encounter so you have to congratulate me for that! Haha. I realized I can live without the computer, I did, but of course, life with the PC is oh so much better. Hehe. So there. I don't want to type in, "I'm back for good!" just yet because, well, I'm not. But don't worry, like I said before, I will still update, though not as often as before.

I've been away from the computer for far too long, I think I forgot how to write. Haha.

New haircut! Haha =)

So far, life is pretty great. Good scores, lessons are okay and pretty much everything is alright. Sometimes it can get pretty tough especially when we're loaded with homeworks and quizzes, but at the end of the day, we still go home with smiles on our faces. And I'm glad with that. I hope this goes on and on and on until the end of the year. Then -- fourth year na!! Haha, one month pa lang eh..excited!

Mikka and me: mga adik sa cufi!

We went to the library for English class a while ago. We had a lot of fun looking at Christiana's notebook because it was filled with all these cheesy pick-up lines. Remember my post about that before? Well of course, we laughed our hearts out as we found out new lines like, "Do you have a name? Or can I call you mine?" and "Do you have a map? Coz I'm lost in your eyes," Total laugh trip grabe! Today is the resurrection of the pick-up lines! =) I still cannot believe that there are actually men out there who have the nerve to say those -- seriously. Haha!

To my classmates in Algeb POF: We have a new alliance! Jamonday + Andreans = Jamondreans! Haha. My group (Jamonday) and Andrea's (Andreans) sort of just merged a while ago when we both got wrong answers to the problems given to our groups by Mrs. F. Nica even coined the term "loser-est groups" because, well, we lost. And "loser" is Nica's new word right now. Haha. Go Jamondreans! =)

FYI: I'm in a love-hate relationship with Chemistry right now. And you know what's the perfect line from a song that I can use to describe Chem? "I hate you, but I love you, I can't stop thinking of you.. it's true.. I'm stuck on you."Whatever happened to Stacy Orrico anyway?

Next week will be our first departmental test already which means I'll be saying goodbye to the PC for a while. I know you'll miss me, but don't worry I'll be back as soon as I'm flush again. Hehe.

"I've made a commitment
I'm willing to bleed for you
I needed fulfillment
I found what I need in you..

But you always find a way
To keep me right here waiting
You always find the words to say
to keep me right here waiting
And if I chose to walk away
would you be right here waiting
Searching for the things to say
to keep me right here waiting.."

even though this is clearly impossible, it's amazing.

What happens when two people find that time is an obstacle to their growing affection?

Mom and I watched "The Lake House" today. And oh man, was it sweet. She's from the future, he's from the past. I must agree with some of the critics, that it lacks a little bit of heat and the ending was a little too soon or late or just plain hanging. But what I loved about it was that no matter how messed up it was, or how weird it ended, it still works. Trying to figure out how everything happened and how it all ended would probably get you nowhere. Don't be too logical about it because you'll fail. But what the heck -- the story was great. And I must admit, Keanu was hot! Throw in Sandra Bullock and you've got amazing chemistry. Honest. =) Go and see it. I give it an 8.

Some reviews on The Lake House:
"Fantasy and sci-fi experts may quibble with the question of alternative realities when people tinker with a world outside time. After all, even in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, J.K. Rowling made sure Harry and Hermione did not use their Time-Turner to alter the appearance of what happens. But such objections are for people who think with their heads. The Lake House is all about heart."
-- Nancy Churnin (Dallas Morning News)

"Enough of the plot and its paradoxes. What I respond to in the movie is its fundamental romantic impulse. It makes us hope these two people will somehow meet."
-- Roger Ebert (Chicago Sun-times)
Anyway, I think I'll be having a short hiatus. It's getting really, really hard to update this thing every week, more so everyday because our load gradually increases. And as they all say, third year life is the hardest. I can't afford to sacrifice my grades over updating this blog on a regular basis. Of course I will still post from time to time, and no, I will not abandon it. I just don't think this blog would be one of my priorities right now. I hope you all understand, I'm trying to make a change this year, and sacrificinga lot of things is one of them. I will always have this passion for writing. Not blogging doesn't mean I have to stop. My new Sleeping Beauty notebook will do for now. Thank you to all my loving commentors. Every kind word you said, every bit of encouragement you gave me made me a happy and stronger in a way. And to all my visitors and readers, though you don't comment or tag, I still appreciate the fact that yospend your time reading my blog, and hopefully enjoyed it.

Haha, I sound like I'm going to be gone forever.
I'll be back, don't worry. I just really have to do this.

And yes, I am and always will be Mrs. Nathan Scott.
That will never change. =)

just dropping by. haha

Club promotion today. And yes, the Debate Society was FULL! Woohoo! We had to close our registration because of the overflowing number of students signing up, mostly freshmen. Yaay! At least, the DebSoc is not dying. Haha. I guess I would have to thank my crown (those who have seen me would know what that means!) and of course the charisma and confidence I got from the past year in DebSoc. Yes naman, super loyalista ng debate. Hehe.

Super tired, and super wasted already! The other day we had the physical fitness test (which I obviously suck at -- except maybe the curl-ups because I got 23! Haha) and we have lots of things to do already.. it's only two weeks and yet I feel like we've been going to school for months! Waaah. Is this really how junior life is like? Not one day without anything to do. But in all fairness, I'm trying to be more responsible by finishing all my homework, doing all my projects and fixing my things on time. Haha.

I guess I have to go since I'm determined to be "more responsible."
Just wanted to update this thing.
Looooove to all.

a day in bubble land.

We spent the weekend at Fraser Place in Makati. It's this super sophisticated suite that looked like a modern-day castle for a princess. I swear it was such a posh place! It looked like a unit straight out of those home-living magazines. It has two bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, a living room, laundry room and a bath tub-slash-jacuzzi. It was so cool. I even had a bubble bath a few hours before checking-out! It was fun just swimming in a tub full of bubbles.. it's a much better feeling that floating on water, I swear! I wish I could go back to that place. Someday Karla, someday.

Me almost drowning in the bubbles. Haha =)

Bought myself two new books at PowerBooks: The Rise And Fall of A Teenage Social Climber and The Realm of Possibilities. And I got them at really great prices because of the sale. Thank God for Power Books. Everytime I go there, I feel so overwhelmed with all the great books surrounding me. You know the feeling of a child upon entering this huge candy store? That's how I always feel everytime I step inside Power Books. It just has this magic in it -- I cannot leave the place without buying at least one book. It's just heaven, really. Okay, so now I probably sound a lot geekier, what with my Math love affair and my passion for books, but what the hell. I love them! Just goes to show that I really am Haley. Hehe. Tutor girl. =)

It's raining. Whee! I guess this marks the official start of the rainy season. So long espadrilles and hello, boots? Haha. I love the rain and I know most of you do too. But don't be foolish and try getting yourself soaked in the rain when you can bring an umbrella. Remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. A public service reminder from Bombastarr. Nyaha. =)

First, I converted people to watch OTH. And now, I converted people to listen to The Fray! Wow, am I really that influential? Well at least I'm influencing good things. Things worth enjoying, and not vices. Go ahead, download like crazy people! YouTube, Limewire.. it's everywhere! It's almost impossible to NOT be able to get a hold of these things, so go ahead and be converted! One Tree Hill and The Fray are LOOOOOOOVE!

Happy Independence Day, by the way. I'm not very patriotic but I think the best thing we can do for our country is to just pray for peace, love and happiness. Am I right?

"She is everything I need
that I never knew I wanted
She is everything I want
that I never knew I needed.."

thank God it's finally friday.

It's just the first week but a LOT of things already happened. Our adviser, Ms. Bautista unfortunately had to resign because of some family matters so now we have Ms. Napoles but that's still not sure. Our English, Physics and Chemistry teachers are still not permanent as of the moment. Nyeeeh. Anyway, currently enjoying the junior life. So far I'm getting good scores and I'm honestly having fun. And thank God for Nescafe Ice! The perfect drink for the psycho in me. Hehe. I loooove it. =)

Every Friday, we have Chemistry TRIPLE period. Imagine that! THREE TIMES longer than the other subjects. That's crazy right?! One hour a day from Monday to Thursday and three straight hours on Friday which means SEVEN HOURS of Chemistry a week. Oh, pure bliss -- not. And I thought two-hour THE classes was long enough already.

Speaking of double period THE, a while ago we were able to watch A Walk To Remember during THE class. And to tell you honestly, though I've seen it before it still made me cry a little bit. Whoever said that Titanic was the only movie that has this "effect" on people most ceratinly hasn't seen this movie yet. And what really, really striked me was that Landon and Jamie were very similar to Nathan and Haley! As in the whole bad-boy-fell-for-good-girl kind of thing. And I swear it made me feel kilig all over again! =) Stop me before I become all mushy again.

"As Lovers Go" is still my current LSS.
Though The Fray songs are on repeat mode in my iPod. =)

And oh, I really don't like the whole Brangelina thing. I still think Jennifer Aniston is the perfect Mrs. Pitt. Their divorce actually made Brad lose some major pogi points for me. Anyway, I'm looking forward to "The Breakup" which stars Jen and Vince Vaughn. I think it's cute. And also "The Lake House" starring Sandra Bullock and Keannu Reeves. Sweeeet. Long list of movies ahead of me this time of year. Oh yeah, babeh.

Bethany Joy Galeotti, the actress who plays Haley Scott.
Don't you think she's very beautiful in this pic?! =)
Haha, that's me!!

Still got to print that freakin' map of Africa. Toodles. Mwah mwah.

"I'd still do anything for you
In spite of it all
I've learned so much from you
You made me strong
Don't you ever think that I don't love you
That for one minute I forgot you.."

first two days on a brand new planet.

I'm officially a Junior!
I belong to III - St. Christina and our adviser is Miss Bautista. Yaaay! =)

So far things are going great. Teachers, classmates, classroom, subjects, quizzes (yes, can you believe it?!) and almost everything there is in our class. Our adviser actually celebrated her birthday already today, and though we're still not super close..we decided to buy her a cake as a gift, to show her that we love her already! =) Hehe. And guess what? Mrs. Fragante is our level coordinator again! She handled us in our first year, and yes, we do love her to bits! I remember having a "crush" on her handwriting because it's so beautiful and super nice. Promise. She made me fall in love with Math even more in our Year I Algebra class. I super miss her already! =)

Anyway, we don't have Trigonometry. =( Only Intermediate Algebra. Apparently, the school changed the curriculum so now, we only have one Math subject and two Sciences (for Pull Out Fast) instead of two Maths and three Sciences. It's good news I guess, but I was really looking forward to Trigo. Oh well, at least our teacher is Mrs. F!! Yaay! =) And then things are pretty much "messed up" because Ms. Toledo is our English teacher (she's our former Physics teacher) and Sir Santos teaches Physics (former Cons Math teacher)! Haha. Well, at least Miss Toledo pa rin. Go Toledudes!

So anywaaay.. how is Junior life so far? Not that I can say much because it has only been two days.. but to tell you honestly, I feel like we've been going to school for weeks already! Feeling normal na lahat. Maybe because we're already friends with all our classmates and we're bonded already. And besides, I'm with my friends! How can I NOT feel okay? It's great that everytime a teacher says something funny or a weird comment, I can just turn my head, look at either Trixie, Mikka or Nica and share a laugh. Not like before na I have to wait until recess or lunch pa. Hehe. There are already the normal kulitans, asarans..the usual classroom bonding stuff. It's great actually! Oh yeah, I love my section already! =)

My assignment notebook has a big 23 written on it pala. O diba, instant inspiration?
Haaayayay.. I love you Nathan Scott! *touches ear* Wink. ;)

Holy Spirit mass tomorrow. May the Holy Spirit guide us this school year so that we may all be able to make the best out of it. =)

Still have to go and research about St. Christina. Love to all, mwaaah! =)

Lost for words when you sympathize
There's a million ways to believe you tried
Well I'm unsatisfied.."

last of summer.

I apologize if it's been quite a long time since I updated. I guess I just really wanted to make my last summer post the day exactly before the start of classes. And today is THAT today. So there.

Pre-first day jitters. Haha. Well I guess this is pretty normal, but really I feel this uncertainty about some things. This year, I want to really do good, to turn out to be a better person but apparently that's easier said than done. For the past few years, I've had my comfort zones, things I know I can always fall back on when things go wrong, like this blog for example. And I have a lot of comfort zones, at least one for every bitter emotion I think I have. But what happens when you have to let go of one? Surely it wouldn't be an easy task especially if you've held on for dear life for this thing. And what really sucks is that you know you understand the reason why you have to do this. You know it's for the better, you know it's for something good. But no matter how many times you say to yourself that someday it'll all turn out to be okay, you can't bring yourself to give it up. You can't do it. And no matter how many times you force yourself to say, "I'm okay," you know you're not. You want to accept it because you understand, but somehow you can't. Because you know that that's not what you want. You want things to stay. But they can't. They won't. And it leaves you feeling vulnerable and afraid of what could happen. And as much as I want to believe that I can do this, somehow I don't think I can. But of course, I have to do it. I have no choice. And hopefully, one day soon, I'll be able to accept the fact that no, things won't go back to the way they were -- not anytime soon.

Don't worry though, I know I'm going to be okay. Not right away, but yeah, I think I can deal with it. And nooo, don't tell me that I don't understand because I perfectly do. The facts are just not sinking yet. But what the hell, I can do this. I'm Wonder Woman, right?

Oh yeah.

Yesterday, my dad and I watched X-men 3. And it was great actually. It was the best X-men movie for me, though the story was really different from the original cartoon series. While watching the movie, I can't help but smirk at Beast because I swear, everytime I hear him talk I hear Frasier!! Haha. I can't concentrate because Frasier na Frasier yung voice. =) But all in all it was great. Too bad though that Cyclops had to die so soon. James Marsden (the actor who played Cyclops) was I think one of my first celebrity crush way back in his Ally McBeal days. Haha. And yes, too bad for him because Wolverine got to make out with Jean Grey while he only got a kiss and -- oops. Too much details already. Anyway, I don't think Jean Grey is any prettier but I still think Mystique is hot. Oh yeah babeh. Rating: 8/10.

I don't like Gerald anymore. Honestly. Weeks after I posted I had a crush on him, I started hating him. I didn't want him to be part of the Big 4. I hate Kim and Gerald's team-up. They're so annoying. Argh.

Oh yes, and finally after months of wishing and wanting, I finally have a Batman shirt! Woohoo! I've been searching practically every mall for a Batman shirt with a girl's cut but all I see are those for boys. Thank God for Toy Kingdom in Mall of Asia because they had one on my size..and black! Yaaay! =) Finally. Not too late for one, right? Anyway I also bought myself one comic book with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman on the cover just to experience what it's like to read superhero comic books. Haha. No matter how much I crush on Mystique's powers, I'll still choose being a superhero over a mutant anytime. Because they possess so much mystery in them. They lead two lives -- the super one, and the ordinary one. And it's amazing how their raw human emotions weave these two lives together. Batman is still my number one crush because, well, in the comic book I bought he sounded so much smarter than Superman! Haha. Sorry for all the Clark Kent fans, but I still think he's an idiot sometimes. You know why I really, really like Batman over Superman? Because in the real comic book story (according to our English teacher) Batman will beat Superman, he will bring Superman down. And when I heard that I just wanted to shove it in all the Superman fanatics out there because HELLO! Batman has no superpowers, only really cool gadgets and amazing martial arts skills. Meanwhile, Superman does have superpowers and yet he was defeated by this powerless guy who happens to be his best friend. What kind of guy with super powers loses over a mortal? A mere human being? Only Superman. So, my conclusion is, Batman really is stronger than Superman in more ways than one. That is why Batman is still my biggest superhero crush. End of story. Haha. (with apologies to all Superman fans. Peace!)

I'm all for the Wonder Woman/Batman love affair. Hehe. And yes, I agree that Wonder Woman really is Batman's true love. He never really got over Wonder Woman. Aww. =) Click here to see a Batman/WW video. Totally sweet.

That look on Batman's face is priceless! =)

I'm in love with The Fray already. I mean, really! I've downloaded seven of their songs from Limewire, and they were all beautiful! Once again, another great band I discovered through the music of One Tree Hill. But trust me, their songs are really good. I'm such a big fan already! Aside from Look After You, I also like All At Once, How To Save A Life and She Is. If I were to rate their band, I'd give them a complete 10 because they rock! =) I heart them.

A few hours from now and it literally is a "Sunday evening". Aaargh. Anyway, I'm done fixing my things and everything is ready. Except for me, I guess. But this is it. The time has finally arrived. No turning back. It's either I make this year suck, or I make it rock. And I want the latter. So au revoir to me, and to the rest of us, as we embark on yet another adventure in the journey called high school. Oh yeah!=)

Adieu, summer!
Bonjour, third year life.

"And all at once the crowd begins to sing,
Sometimes we'd never know
what's wrong without the pain,
Sometimes the hardest thing
and the right thing are the same.."

oh my, it's june already?!

Okay so apparently sabotage and assassination are my specialty. Niiiice. Haha. Anyway, if that were true, probably all my enemies and would-be enemies would be on their knees right now begging for my forgiveness because who knows what I could do to them. *insert evil laugh here* But of course, I'm little miss nice. I won't be able to do that. I can't even hold a gun (with the exception of Time Crisis, of course!).

Waaah! I just saw the new promo video of One Tree Hill on The CW website! And it pretty much sums up the drama of the third season. Watching it made me feel like a part of the show or something. Clearly, OTH has this effect on people -- right, fellow addicts? =) Of course, my Nathan is as hot as ever! Man, when I see that winning free throw he made in episode 20, my mind shuts dead because of over-cuteness. Haha. I'm so excited about the new season! Lots of questions to be answered. And because I love OTH so much, I must first re-live the drama by watching Season 3 again. =) Marathon, here I come. Wanna see the video? Here.

It's June 1st already! My, how time flies! And now I realize I really am just a few days away from THE DAY. Aaaaah!!

The things that excite me about going to school on Monday:
  1. G-Tec point 3. Oh yeah, babeh!
  2. My new school bag
  3. Marilyn Monroe binder
  4. Trigonometry (haha, nerd)
  5. classmates (yehey!)
  6. money!! may allowance na eh. =)
The things that make me dread going to school on Monday:
  1. the thought of ten whole months of studying -- aaaargh.
  2. no more whole day computer marathons
  3. any Science subject
  4. waking up early
  5. staying up late because of cramming sessions
  6. seeing people I don't want to see.
So.. what do you think weighs more? I don't know about you guys but I'm still torn between the two. Oh well, I'm still going to school on Monday anyway, whether I like it or not. I just wish that HOPEFULLY things will turn out to be okay and alright, just like what I always wanted.

And so I guess upon the start of classes, my duty as Tutor Girl shall resume. =)
Hello, Trigonometry. I'm excited to meet you.

"I'll be true, I'll be useful,
I'll be cavalier, I'll be yours my dear.
and I'll belong to you
if you'll just let me through,
